I'm Isa Isaza, Chef, Hostess, Owner, Vibe Maker, etc. etc. etc... of Dish Craves.

Dish Craves began in 2018 as a shared Instagram food diary between me and Santi, who helped spark my original love for food and flavor. What started as quick snaps of dinners we loved evolved into my own personal love letter to food, cooking, hosting, and more (& now Santi is my sous chef and favorite taste tester).

Over time, I discovered that cooking for myself and those I love brought me a different kind of joy and connection. During the pandemic, I became the personal chef for my family, cooking everything from Ethiopian feasts (everything was closed and I REALLY wanted to try it), vegan cheeses (including 'brie' with its own silky rind), Mediterranean tasting menus, lots of baked goods, and more (how long were we locked up??).

It became a ritual — a way of grounding myself during a difficult time.

Fast forward — that love eventually took me to New York, where I attended the Institute of Culinary Education and worked at the Musket Room. I moved back to Miami with a certification in Plant-Based Culinary Arts, and the incredible experience of interning in a Michelin-starred kitchen.

Back in Miami, I helped build and launch ARO - a restaurant discovery platform created around the belief that restaurants deserve to be seen in their own unique way, and that people shouldn't have to struggle to find their next dining experience (check them out here).

At the same time, I needed a space to cook, connect, and create, so I held my first Craves Collective: an intimate supper club where I bring people together over seasonal menus, good wine, and great conversation (supper clubs were such a big thing in NYC, I couldn't believe it wasn't happening in Miami!)

As I grow, Dish Craves will continue to evolve, as a brand, a ritual, and maybe something more. There's so much I'm craving to share. I'm happy you're here!

Xoxo, Isa
